What I’m Doing Now

Mowing

I bought a Ryobi 16 inch battery powered lawnmower. I went with Ryobi to match the rest of my power tools.

It was an oddly exciting day when I got to mow my lawn for the first time. I’ve mowed plenty of lawns before, but never my lawn.

Now I’m fighting some weeds and planting grass seed to fill in the bald spots.

Water in the basement

After the torrential rainstorms a couple of weeks ago, I finally peaked through the access hole to the basement to see if any water had made it in. Small pond, no biggie.

I grabbed a couple of mixing bowls and a cup and scooped it all out by hand. I haven’t had any water since.

The shed

I spent the weekend cleansing my shed of all the previous owner’s junk. A lawnmower that wouldn’t start. A broken washing machine, oddly cut OSB.

I posted pictures of the junk and the lawnmower was gone within 30 minutes. The washing machine was gone by the next morning.

Now the shed has plenty of room for my small collection of lawn care tools and outdoor gear.

Dwarves, Death, Loot, and Glory

My new go-to game is Dwarves, Death, Loot, and Glory.

It’s a roguelike where you hire an army of drunk dwarves and upgrade them over time. Enough depth to keep me coming back and just hard enough that I want to win.
