Not Able to Send or Receive Texts on Cricket Wireless
My mother was not able to send or receive text messages on her Moto G4 Play after switching to Cricket Wireless. After doing some research I was able to determine that her issues lied in the default APN settings that Cricket Wireless sends, and event currently lists on their website.
Follow these stepsto fix your phone so you can send and receive Text/SMS messages on Cricket wireless.
- Find your APN settings
- On Android, open your Settings.
- Tap on”More” located under your Data Usage
- Tap on “Cellular Networks”
- Tap on Access point names
- Now tap on the APN that Cricket Wireless added to your phone
- Adjust them to match the following:
- Name: Internet (or whatever you prefer)
APN: ndo
Proxy: Leave blank
Port: Leave blank
Username: Leave blank
Password: Leave blank
Server: Leave blank
MMSC: http://mmsc.cricketwireless.net
MMS proxy: proxy.cricketwireless.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 150
Authentication type: Leave blank
- Name: Internet (or whatever you prefer)
- Restart your phone, just to be safe.
